ING Tech/Global Tribe DataCenter & Networks:

Their networking environment is growing rapidly and they need extra hands to make sure they can still deliver their networks up to the high ING standards. They work with state of the art technologies with very high capacity. They need you to help them stay up to date and in control.

The squad is responsible for development and operations of ING's datacentre and private cloud networks. Their engineers are very experienced. Working from NL and Poland they are used to working remote, but also meet in the office on a regular basis. They work (but not only) with Cumulus, Palo Alto, F5, VMware NSX, Cisco.

The team to which you apply is responsible for the maintenance and implementation of the comprehensive network infrastructure with particular regard to stability, safety and accessibility.

Responsibilities:

• Updating and upgrading their estate: testing, analysing for the correct versions, making sure you align with their stakeholders, making a planning
• Migrating legacy systems to the new solutions, helping our stakeholders doing so
• Improving our monitoring, delivering input for capacity planning, making sure they get alerted for the right things and they see problems coming before they become a problem
• Documenting their current and new solutions, sharing knowledge, writing work instructions
• Delivering evidence and procedures showing that they are in control
• Troubleshooting the more difficult problems that are not easily solved, using tools like wireshark, firewall logs, syslog etc

We are looking for you if you have:

• Network knowledge on the level of CCNP/CCIE incl. routing and switching, security eg. IPSec, SSL, NMPv3, AAA etc, HA solutions and protocols (BGP, underlay, overlay, vxlan)
• 3-5 years of experience with Cisco routers and switches and firewalls (indifferent to technology)
• Scripting/programming skills (Python)
• Experience in advanced network troubleshooting
• Recent experience with firewalls in a large datacenter
• Good in trouble shooting ;)
• Palo Alto Firewall knowledge (senior level)

You get bonus points if you have:

• CCNP/CCIE certifications
• Knowledge and experience in Cisco ACI, Palo Alto firewalls, F5 load balancers, Blue Coat/McAfee proxies, routing multicast, MPLS, Cisco ISE - 802.1x/radius/tacacs+, Cisco WLC - wifi.

• Ability to setting priorities of tasks within ongoing initiative,
• Ability to identify and gathering of Customer's requirements,
• Ability to design of technical solution meeting Customer's requirements,
• Ability to technical leadership during implementation,
• Ability to prepare post-delivery documentation.

• This is a contract-to-perm position, after 18 months our client may give you an offer to join them directly, no strings attached!

• This role is available for two (hybrid) locations in the Netherlands (Rotterdam area) and Poland (Katowice)
