Job description

In the role of a DevOps Engineer specializing in network operations (OPS), you will play a pivotal role within the Network OnPrem team, tasked with managing and optimizing ABN AMRO's NXOS datacenter infrastructure. Your responsibilities include promptly addressing incidents and vulnerabilities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve network issues, and executing standard tasks such as configuring network ports and monitoring performance, ensuring seamless operations and optimal functionality.

Responsibilities

· Manage the NXOS datacenter infrastructure, ensuring its reliability and security.
· Address incidents and vulnerabilities promptly to minimize disruptions to network operations.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including MLAN, Datacenter, and Storage teams to resolve network issues and optimize performance.
· Provide clear work instructions for MLAN as needed to facilitate smooth operations.
· Execute standard tasks such as opening and deleting ports for existing customers, configuring network connections for new devices or VMs, and managing network/subnet configurations.
· Monitor network performance, implement traffic mirroring, and adjust DHCP relay policies to optimize network operations.
· Maintain monitoring policies and track faults to ensure proactive resolution of issues.

Ideal candidate characteristics

· CCNP certification or equivalent expertise in network engineering.
· Proficiency in managing CISCO Network devices, with experience in NXOS and ACI being advantageous.
· Strong understanding of working in large datacentre environments, with the ability to adapt to evolving requirements.
· Familiarity with Agile methodologies and a proactive approach to problem-solving and collaboration.
· Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
· Work flexibility to meet operational needs.

· € 4.400,00 - € 5.500,00 gross per month (depending on experience)
