Principal Data Engineer - Realtime Data Integration

Within our team, consisting of driven data analysts and data engineers, we play a crucial role in supporting large customers in monitoring business-critical chains. This enables IT disruptions to be quickly detected and minimized. As a Data Engineer, you contribute to developing advanced solutions and optimizing chain monitoring dashboards. In our close-knit Scrum team, collaboration is central and encouraged. We prefer a Data Engineer who has experience with multiple companies and has had to combine multiple data sources.

As a Data Engineer, you have the opportunity to make a significant impact by ensuring we can more effectively monitor more of our customers' business chains. Additionally, you contribute to the further professionalization of our platform and our methodology, enabling us to serve customers more efficiently.

We expect the following from you:

• Designing and implementing advanced streaming ETL solutions

• Acting as a point of contact for technical designs.

• Identifying and initiating technical innovation in line with the business and solution architecture of the customer solution.

• Actively contributing to process improvements and striving for continuous optimization of functionalities.

• Streaming Data Engineering (is a must): In-depth knowledge and experience in setting up and maintaining streaming data pipelines (Kafka, Flink, Rust, Scala, Spark) in container solutions (Docker/Harbor).

• IT architecture: Understanding of various IT architecture models, including cloud-based and traditional architectures, as well as connectivity concepts.

• Monitoring tools: Theoretical knowledge of monitoring tools for monitoring system and network performance and troubleshooting.

• Azure DevOps: Knowledge of Azure DevOps for effective project management and implementation of software projects (CI/CD and Git).

• StackState (is a plus): Optional skill in using StackState, a monitoring and observation tool for IT environments.

• Inititial 12 month contract assignment with option to extension

• Hybrid working (on/off-line in the office)

• 37 hour work week

• Full pension according to Dutch temp labor CLA

• Contract to permanent assignment is possible for this vacancy

• Bandwidth for a fixed term assignement: €4240 - €6073 gross per month, excl. holiday payments.
