Digital Workplace is responsible for the Modern Digital Workplace within ABN AMRO (30.000+ seats). We operate from the Netherlands and have our business users both inside and outside the Netherlands. We deliver not only the workplace devices but also a full suite of functionality to the standard workplace. The workplace is prepared for the new way of hybrid working that ABN AMRO wants to embrace as the new way of working looking forward. We enable and support our business users to work faster and smarter, for this we implemented an active adoption team that educates business users to be efficient and use the full potential of the Modern Digital Workplace. Microsoft 365 is one of the primary enablers of our workplace infrastructure.

What are you going to do? 
The Microsoft Office 365 Engineer will be a member of the Unified Communications team - a dedicated DevOps IT delivery team (Block). The Platform Engineer also works in a context of the delivery of new technology and resources. The Platform Engineer collaborates with the Product Owner and other Platform Engineers within the Block. In addition, the Platform Engineer collaborates with Solution Engineers and colleagues from other Blocks.

The work is based in the Netherlands, but in an international context and a multicultural environment.

Unified Communications is part of the Digital workplace Grid which delivers workplace services to the 30.000+ employees of ABN AMRO world-wide. The Unified Communications team maintains avoice infrastructure designed to deliver the workplace’s fixed and telephony capabilities through Teams and support our dealingroom traders and contact centers with telephony services. We combine that with regulatory solutions like Compliance Recording and other telephony related communication solutions like SMS and Fax to bring a full set of communication to our end users.

Within ABN AMRO we are expanding the Microsoft 365 (M365) platform to support the business users in various areas, based on their use cases, requirements and expectations. We have transitioned our current traditional Enterprise Voice solution into a modern cloud Microsoft Teams based solution in the Netherlands and currently are in the process of migrating our offices based abroad (a.o. France, Belgium, Germany) and subsidiaries of ABN AMRO towards our Teams Telephony solution in combination with a Compliance Recording solution from NICE. In addition to that another important pillar is the optimization of our processes around Teams Telephony and moving them towards Azure.

We need you to provide expertise to help deploy the technology, methodology and common use case in order to “Make UC Work”. The assignment is focused on working within the ABN AMRO Unified Communications (UC) DevOps team and supporting both the UC Team and also the ABN AMRO user communities to understand what the options are, to build out on the Microsoft technology and help define the strategy and way forward.

What do we ask from you? 

The job requires the following skills with a strong preference of minimum of 5 years of experience with M365 (Teams):

• Minimum of 5 years of experience on M365 (must)
• Advanced knowledge of M365 Teams, its features & potential (must)
• Knowledge of PowerShell, Automation Solutions, CI/CD pipelines (must)
• Help understand the options and administration of Microsoft Teams as the primary platform for the modern Enterprise Voice solution
• Help to investigate the requirements to support the best End User Experience
• Help to investigate the additional services and roles required to implement a modern cloud based Microsoft Teams solution enabling the ABN AMRO Enterprise Voice platform
• DevOps way of working (should have)
